Day after the torture!!

I took Chris to get his blood drawn to test for hypothyroidism and they stuck him so many times that I don't even want to think about. They tried to get the vein in each arm and then, after repeated sticks, they decide that a finger prick would work. But they had to do it twice because the first time they didn't get enough blood... Oh I felt so bad for him.... we haven't heard back from the doctor yet so... I guess that will come tomorrow maybe.... Oh yesterday was a day!

4 month Check-up....

Well on Friday we had our 4 month check up. Chris is up to 13lbs and 12 ounces. He is 23 and 1/2 inches long. The doctor said he is looking good but I have to take him to the hospital on Monday to get his thyroid level checked. The doc mentioned he might have baby hypothyroidism because of his big eyes and his head measurement. He really doesn't think he has it but he wants to play it safe. Of course I am worried because I am his mommy and the thought of hospital and baby is scary but even if it is hypothyroidism it is really easy to treat. Well we will go Monday to get lab work done at the hospital so keep your fingers crossed and I will let you know what is going on.

Only 4 months late...

Okay so... I know I am late with the blogging things but hey I have been busy... Well this is going to be baby Christopher's blog. I decided to start one for him so that people that I did not see all the time could see Chris and see what he is doing. Will's cousin Becca started one for her daughter Maddie and I decide... Hey that's a great idea so I have stolen the idea... hehehe...

Well Chris is exactly 4 months and 9 days as of today... He was born on September 9, 2009. I was exactly 39 weeks and 4 days. I was induced at about 9 in the morning and he made his grand entrance at 4:59p.m. He was 6lbs and 9 ounces and he was 18 inches long... He had some fetal distress towards then end and when he first came out he didn't cry for what felt like forever. Finally he did and then we held him for a little and they took him to the nursery to observe him. We finally got to really hold and snuggle him close to 8:00p.m. And so far he has been doing really great. He is up to 13 pounds and 8 ounces. (I took him to the doctor last week and they let me use the scale to weigh him.) I will post pictures of him starting at the beginning so you will probably see pictures you have already seen but new ones will come very soon.
